Transportation & Errand Services (With or without client)

It can be traumatic when a senior needs to give up driving whether voluntary or involuntary. Lack of transportation can lead to social isolation, depression and loneliness. Some seniors do not willingly give up the car keys and can be a danger to themselves and others when they get behind the wheel. It is important to have a plan in place when discussing transportation issues with your loved ones.

Transportation is one of the regular services we provide for our clients. We do not provide transportation only. We are not a door TO door service but rather assist door THROUGH door. For instance, when helping a client with a doctor’s appointment, we will assist the client in and out of the car, help with a walker or transport wheelchair, accompany the client to the appropriate office, wait for them or go in the appointment with them, take notes if desired, stop by a pharmacy or other errand on the way back home. We will assist the client back into their home and assist with putting groceries away or whatever else is needed in the home.

At times, the client may prefer to make a list and have the Care Pro go to the store without them. Our Care Pros can drive their own car or the client’s car. Mileage will be charged if driving the Care Pro’s car. All of our driving employees have a current driver’s license, car insurance and we perform annual DMV checks.
